- Letter from Opposing Team at Ripken.... This is Titans Baseball.......
Jim,
I just wanted to take a moment to commend your coaches and players for their outstanding play in the Mother's Day Tournament at Cal Ripken's Aberdeen complex. My son's team qualified for the championship round and was seeded 8th. Many teams in our OWN program had warned us about our inability to compete, yet here we were, 1-1 after day one and playing the tourney's top seed. It didn't take long to see why your team was top seed and to say they played tremendous might be biggest understatement of the weekend. Within two innings it was clear that SJ Titans was a well oiled machine and we were just trying to keep our "heads above water".
While the final score doesn't tell the whole story, I believe your team, coaches and players, deserve to be recognized for something the championship trophy DOESN'T tell. It's so rare to see club teams "win with dignity" that I felt compelled to email someone in your organization. When our game was "in hand for SJ", your coaches and players didn't "pile on the score" and were extremely cordial to our players. Again, we've already said we'd play in these tourneys again as long as teams such as yours, that RESPECT the game are our toughest opponents. Take care and best of luck to your entire organziation.

The Titans Organization is committed to teaching winning baseball through coaching, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We emphasize having fun on the field and stress the importance of showing class and sportsmanship on and off the field in victory and in defeat. We are an organization that is dedicated to providing youth in the area with the opportunity to play youth baseball at the highest level. We seek out quality players and opponents and strive to be the best by competing with the best. We seek to develop these young men into leaders on and off the field by stressing character, dedication, and working as a team.
Our 2013 season will consist of tournament play throughout Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey along with individual games in the Tri-State Elite Baseball League. Our home games are played at the East Greenwich Little League Complex and the Glassboro Little League Complex. We encourage all of our players to play Little League and Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth recreational baseball in their local communities as well.
